LifeColor paints are water based acrylic colours for modelling and hobby painting. They are excellent for both paint brushing and airbrushing onto plastic, resin, metal, vinyl, wood, cloth and ceramic.

This wide range of paints includes basic gloss and matt colours and mimetic, based on the Federal Standard 595b correspondence and each label shows the equivalent FS number.

The range offers many paints grouped into convenient sets for specific subjects, including tanks, aircraft, uniforms/figures, ships, railways and weathering.

The LifeColor Soviet 4BO paint set is designed for applying colour modulation techniques to WWII-era Soviet Olive Green (4BO) vehicles. Each shade features an improved formula, allowing seamless blending with the others to create natural contrast, depth, and tonal variation across the model.

Using LifeColor

1. Clean surfaces before painting
2. For airbrushing, dilute the colour to a milky consistency using water or LifeColor Thinner.
3. Airbrush at low pressures between 10 – 20 psi. (Iwata airbrushes give the best performance and atomisation at low pressures.)
4. Apply colour in thin coats with a brush or airbrush
5. Allow to dry completely between coats
6. Clean your airbrush with LifeColor Cleaner or Medea Airbrush Cleaner and flush through with water
